The rest is often completely stripped of its benefits through overprocessing and pasteurization

Welcome to the informal settlement of Karasani. It’s a beautiful, vibrant, and full of incredible people, but it’s also home to some of the worst economic, health, and educational outcomes you might picture.

These hives offer a brand new path. We work with community members escaping hunger, poverty, and abuse as they rebuild their lives.

Global bee populations are in decline, threating pollination and putting global food security at risk. Without bees, our ecosystem would collapse.

However, where you build matters - to support species balances, honeybees are best propogated where they are indigenous, including this region in Kenya.
