Talanta Africa Fund is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 92-0521819. Gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law — and one hundred percent of every donation goes directly to the projects. Administration, fundraising, and overhead are funded separately, and everyone who serves the Fund is a volunteer.

Choose where your gift works

Every designation below is honored in full, and each appears in the giving form — you choose right where you give. Read each project before you decide, or trust us to place your gift where the work needs it most.

Where it’s needed most: Unrestricted — applied where the work needs it.
TAFA scholarships: School fees, books, and mentorship.
Wezesha Center: Scholarship, tutoring, meals, and mental-health care.
The Leadership Exchange: A year in Hong Kong, then university and mentorship.
Kasarani Safe Water: Treatment for a community — and the measurement that makes it a model.

One project is missing from this list on purpose: O’Leleshwa is the project you cannot give to — it gives to the others.

Give online

Our secure form takes one-time or monthly gifts. Inside it you’ll choose your designation from the list above — and if you want your gift to do something specific within a project, there’s a comment box for exactly that: name the purpose, and a volunteer confirms it with you personally.

Your tax receipt arrives immediately, by email. Our giving platform charges the Fund nothing — so one hundred percent of your gift reaches the work. What we mean by one hundred percent.

The fine print, plainly

What we mean by one hundred percent. Every dollar donated to Talanta Africa Fund is spent on the projects — the work you see on this site. The Fund’s own costs are covered separately, never out of public donations, and everyone who serves the Fund is a volunteer. Our giving platform, Zeffy, charges nonprofits nothing; at checkout you may see an optional contribution to Zeffy itself, which you can set to zero — and which never comes out of your gift either way.

If your designation can’t be honored. If you designate a gift and that designation ever becomes impossible to carry out — a need fully met, a project completed — we will contact you and ask where you would like your gift to go. We do not silently redirect designated gifts.

Your information. We do not sell, rent, or share donor information with anyone, for any reason. We use it to send your receipt, honor your designation, and — only if you ask — keep you informed.

Mistakes and refunds. A wrong amount, an accidental duplicate, a change of heart — write to info@talantaafrica.org within thirty days and we will refund your gift, no questions asked.
